Senior Moving
Associate – Part Time Position

We are an organization that:

Serves older adults and their families as they make decisions about downsizing, relocating or aging in place.  When the clients need to move, we provide space planning, organizing, packing, moving, unpacking and new home setup, estate dispersal, home cleaning and other relocation and transition services.

This is a very rewarding job as the clients, like most people, have low expectations of a moving experience and they are so grateful when we move them quickly and efficiently with care and outstanding serice.

    by Arizona Senior Moving Company leadership.

The Senior Moving Associate reports to the Vice-President.

Prerequisites For The Job 

  • At least 2 years professional work experience in a direct customer service capacity
  • Able to work a flexible, part-time schedule, but still treat this as seriously as any full-time position
  • Experience working with seniors/older adults a plus and/or having had own life experience downsizing a parent, grandparent or other older
    adult
  • Excellent listening skills and customer service skills
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated
  • Team player and top-notch collaborator
  • A positive, “We can do this” problem solver
  • Non-Smoker

  • Punctual – must always be present and ready to work on time
  • Adhere to company dress code

  • Responsible for company supplies
  • Maintain a calm and composed demeanor in stressful situations
  • Follow up and follow thorough in a timely manner
  • Interact with clients and co-workers alike in a respectful manner
  • Follow instructions easily and ask questions for clarity
  • Be accountable for own actions and work results

Must Have/Must Be 

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance and own car (reliable transportation is imperative)
  • Must be a citizen of the U.S. and present proof of identity and employment eligibility
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English to
    interact with clients and co-workers
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Computer skills: working knowledge of Word, Excel and
    comfortable learning new apps
  • Must have a high school diploma

Physical Requirements 

  • Some lifting and carrying of items and boxes (up to 50 pounds)
  • Able to work and move swiftly
  • Packing and unpacking
  • Squatting, reaching and moving items around

References and Background Checks 

  • You must be able to pass a background check and a drug test
  • Three references will be required
